The Academy Awards are awards for artistic and technical merit for the film industry. For the 2023 Academy Awards, professional ballerina Georgina Pazcoguin (formerly a soloist at the New York City Ballet), wore a dress from my debut collection. Pazcoguin—"The Rogue Ballerina"—is known for challenging racism and misogyny in the ballet world. As a fellow AAPI artist, it was truly an honor to collaborate with such a tour de force.
